There have been rumors for awhile that Matt would reprise his role as teacher-turned-vampire slayer to headline an unnamed The Originals spinoff set for 2019, also starring Danielle Rose Russell as an older Hope Mikaelson, and now IMDB is confirming this with it’s own project page!
It’s also been announced that Alaric will show up on the twelfth episode of The Originals fifth and last season, as yet unnamed. Presumably to kick off his role in the spinoff. Can’t wait!
